The HP Indigo Innopartner program is an open ecosystem that leads transformation through partnership. The program inducts strategic business partners who are creative and energetic to infuse innovation through exploration and collaboration so that Innopartner’s business partners and HP Indigo users would transform their competitive advantages into a powerful force that drives growth and change in the market. The Innopartner program is a global initiative of HP that launched in China in May 2017.

“Innovation and partnership is the key to success for our partners, our customers and for ourselves. We believe we can achieve more together.” says Alon Bar-Shany, General Manager, HP Indigo Inc.

Photobook.ai will join HP at the 4th Print China Expo 2019 in Hall 1, 1001. Print China is the 2nd largest print technology show in the world behind Drupa in Dusseldorf, and the largest in China. Print China is held once every 4 years and welcomes over 20,000 visitors, a third of whom are international visitors. Held over 5 days, it covers 140,000 square metres of exhibit space from 1,200 exhibitors at the Guangdong Modern International Exhibition Center in Dongguan.

“We are barely one year old and already making a dent in the photobook print industry. This is a testament to the pent-up demand from consumers who want to preserve their precious stories in print, and they want to do that quickly, from their phone, whilst they are on the go. Not every photobook needs to be done in front of a PC, especially when the phone is our primary camera”, says Terence Swee, Founder and CEO of photobook.ai

photobook.ai ‘s mobile apps have a unique feature not commonly seen in the world of photobook software: it does not require the Cloud. An entire photobook can be automatically created on the phone without the need to first upload them to the cloud. This deliberate design decision was taken as the modern phone is where our photos are taken and stored and user trends point to photo sharing and purchase transactions are increasingly primarily conducted through smartphones, and indeed many people no longer own a desktop computer. In the age of increasing privacy concerns, being able to put together your personal moments and tell your story natively in your phone without first uploading everything is very reassuring to many users. Photobook.ai software uses AI to automatically tell stories from user’s photos by clustering events, picking the best shots, removing duplicates, blurred or underexposed photos, documents and understanding the context of the album. Photobook.ai has SDKs available for Android, iOS, Mac, Windows and Linux and has licensees and users in Brazil, Japan, Europe, South Africa, Kenya and the UK.

“The industry today are locked in an arm’s race to outspend each other in customer acquisition, and yet 70% of all photobook projects started are never finished, simply due to the immense effort required at each step of making a photobook. With AI and automation, we help users get to 90% of the photobook, and leave them with the fun parts of adding text, stickers and adjusting a couple of pages. Now there is a smart and unobtrusive way for photobook companies to increase volume without the ‘race to the bottom’ with everyone else using discount coupons and daily nag emails to get users back to the grind of completing a photobook,” says Swee.
