Max Spielmann launches new AI Mobile Print App

The new Maxphoto AI Prints App comes with AI photobook creation, Wall Art and other print Gifts.

4th October 2021, Manchester, UK and Singapore:  The Maxphoto print-on-demand-app is available for both Android and iOS users in the UK.  The android app has been available since August, and iOS will be released in October, just in time for the holiday season.

MaxPhoto is traditionally known for their 1-hour print service where customers can order prints-on-demand and pick them up at any retail location within an hour.  Starting from our white label photobook mobile app, we added various print on demand products like canvas gallery wraps, posters, mugs, photo blocks and of course, photo prints.

Maxphoto AI Photobook App

Within the photo print mobile app, users can quickly pick any number of photos from Facebook, Instagram, Google Photos or Dropbox and even mix and match them.  AI automatically knows where to trim to fit within the 4:3 aspect ratio of photo prints in any size.  With its region of interest analyses, the Max Photo app will not just ensure faces are not trimmed off, key subjects are detected, so now whether it’s your pet coogie, or the lighthouse, they are all accurately detected and safely kept within the crop zone automatically.

The AI photo print app is also able to let users choose to pick-up their orders from any one of over 450 Maxphoto and Tesco retail store locations.  Users can also pay directly in-app using PayPal, credit cards, Apple and Google Pay, or simply pay in-store when they pick up their orders.  The photos are sent directly by the app to the right store or fulfillment facility, depending on what SKUs.  Everything are centrally tracked through photobook.ai’s Global Print System (GPS) back-end that comes as part of the white-label photobook mobile app suite.

Max Spielmann already had a successful photo print app developed by an offshore team for a few years.  They wanted to add higher-margin products like photobooks, which has always been challenging to create on mobile.

photobook.ai’s print-on-demand photobook app presented a future-proof solution to not just go-to-market quickly, but to do it with an industry leader in AI-assisted photobook mobile apps.

Max Spielmann is part of the Timpson group, which also runs the print service at Tescos and owns Snappy Snaps, another premier chain of UK print specialty stores.
