Are the photos HEIC (we can’t yet support HEIC, which comes from some iPhones) Are they actually local on the computer, or are they actually in iCloud/OneDrive/Dropbox/Google Drive but “appears” to be local? If they are in the cloud, use the cloud service to download the photos to their PC/Mac local storage, then try uploading again Escalate to PBAI (kensington@support.photobook.ai) with the projectURL and email

We support JPG, JPEG, PNG and BMP image files. If you are uploading photos from your iPhone, they are likely in HEIC format. Unfortunately this is a proprietary format by Apple and not currently support in our photobook creation platform. Please convert these files to JPEG format (with a file extension of “.jpg” or “.jpeg”)
